CITY COUNCIL
CITY OF POINT PLEASANT
August 5, 2003The common council of the city of Point Pleasant, a municipal
corporation in Mason County, West Virginia, met in special session at
the City Building, 400 Viand Street at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 5,
2003.
The following were present:
James H. Wilson, Mayor
Stanton D. Burdette, City Clerk
And the following members of City Council:

Mayor Wilson called the meeting to order.The purpose of the meeting was to take necessary action on the
following:
Resolution authorizing the filing of an application for
Small Cities Block Grant Funds.Resolution adopting the City of Point Pleasant Community
Development and housing needs assessment summary.
Mayor Wilson asked for a motion to adopt a resolution authorizing the
filing of an application for Small Cities Block Grant Funding for fiscal
Year 2003, for the historic preservation Project-phase I. Ronald Kapp
made the motion it was seconded by Carol Jones and was passed
unanimously.Mayor Wilson asked for a motion for a resolution to adopt the City of
Point Pleasant Community Development and Housing needs summary. Kathy
Elliott (Region II Planning and Development) stated that this was a
document addressing community housing and development needs and
priorities for projects within the city. Carol Jones made a motion to
adopt the resolution and Kevin Knott seconded the motion. The motion was
approved unanimously.Being no other business to attend to, Leota Sang made a motion to
adjourn. Kevin Knott seconded the motion and the motion passed
unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 7:19 p.m.
